Our equestrian activities are designed to be both entertaining and educational, allowing your children to thrive in nature while enjoying precious family time.
A joyful experience for children, parents, grandparents, or friends—out in the fresh air and along the wild trails of the Causses du Quercy. 🌳🐴✨

Ponies are entrusted to you under your full responsibility.
Safety guidelines will be explained on-site before the ride begins.

Details of the Equestrian Activity at Westone Ranch

At Westone Ranch, every pony ride is an opportunity for your children to build confidence, balance, and respect for animals. Kids will have the chance to take their time brushing and decorating their pony, creating an essential first bond with these lovable companions. This step not only strengthens their connection with the animal but also teaches them how to care for it.

Afterwards, they will set off on a ride with their parents along a beautiful trail in the Causses du Quercy, enjoying a rewarding experience in nature where every walk is a chance to explore and get closer to our charming ponies.

Practical Information for the Pony Ride

Recommended Equipment

We provide safety helmets. Please dress your children in comfortable clothing suitable for outdoor activities, especially for horseback riding (long pants and closed-toe shoes).

Prices and Reservations

The pony ride costs €15, which helps cover the ponies’ maintenance expenses.
We are open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with reservations recommended for organizational reasons.
Evening rides are available during the summer after 6 p.m., by reservation only.

Departure Location and Schedule

Our pony rides depart from our ranch. We offer several time slots to fit your schedule.

Activity Duration

The total duration of the pony ride, including grooming, is about 1 hour. This includes a 2 km walk on foot for the child’s guardians. After the ride, the little riders can enjoy the ranch by playing cowboys and Indians with our free outdoor games.

Age

Our pony rides are available for children aged 3 to 10 years, with a maximum height and weight of 140 cm / 40 kg.
